Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Hello! I’m not quite sure how this works but would anyone be interested in reviewing either of my books? How do I go about asking, or is that even appropriate?

Just a word of caution on this (my personal opinion): don't actively ask for reviews. You will mainly attract hackers and scammers who will either steal your book and publish it under their name or will hack your account. Also, using non-spontaneous reviews (especially if done in exchange of free copies or mutual favorable ratings) is looked at poorly by many publishers and may get you banned from places like Kindle. The word here is PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE. Let the word of mouth time to work up your popularity as a writer. Readers will attach a lot more credibility to spontaneous reviews than to paid for/exchanged for reviews. Yes, the first year or two may be slow but, if your book is really good, then things will speed up and snowball.
