Thanks guys iv never had something feel so peaceful before so picture if you will: carpeted area with a coffee table with intricate designs of the norse pantheon all over it with coasters made to look like little shields, comfy couches and reclinable chairs all around it and inside the coffee table are tons of books based on everything with vikings and norse mythology

So for context: i helped found a ren faire in tennessee, its location is currently in greenville, and we have a skit called 'the court of love' and i thought about using it to ask the duke and duchess of the faire for help because my gf is playing a rogue this year and will be joining the duchy after we defeat the rogue king this weekend so i was thinking my character could start by watching over her on their graces commands and end up falling in love, to which he asks the duke and duchess for their blessing to propose, maybe talk to one of the live bands we have and see if they can play 'heather on the hill' by nathan evans (its our first song that we danced together to) and if that works then fine if not then probably just do it when the time feels right that weekend at the faire, thoughts?

I just hope i dont screw up thats why i was hoping for advice in making sure i get it right, idk what i wanna say to her before proposing thats my biggest issue cuz i dont wanna do what her ex did (he proposed randomly in her car in the walmart parking lot after they got off work) instead i wanna time it correctly and say it appropriately

So new issue: my mom found out about the engagement before we could tell her and she went absolutely apeshit, my renfaire mom had to calm her down and its been days and she refuses to talk about it still

Update on engagement: we talked it out and told my family at thanksgiving, they were very welcoming regardless, family still dont know im norse pagan except for my parents and my fiance and my baby cousin

Ironically parents are also not ok wiyh the paganism since they are christian but my fiance doesnt mind and neither does my cousin so it works out well
