We are so lucky to have many authors with us in this group!! 😃

That being SAID, please post ANY advertisements you want to make on this thread only.

Please do not use this for discussions, unless it is a question for the author who advertised; or about their book.

And please do NOT post your advertisement on any other discussion page.

Thank you!

Fatimah Bass | 1 comments Assalamu-alaikum/Hello everyone!

I firstly want to say that I absolutely love this group and the work it's doing on Goodreads and that I apologize for not messaging more <3 I do read most of the texts but I get lowkey shy to text in groups 😭

With that being said, I wanted to just post about my newly released book! It's called Where the Olive Trees Return, and it's essentially about a teenage girl in Rafah, Palestine, who in the midst of chaos, runs into a journalist, and convinces him to let her help report on the genocide. The book talks about the things citizens of Palestine endure and have had to endure for decades, and it touches more specifically (through the main characters' journalism) on Isr@els use of civilian human shields. It's by technicality a historical fiction (I see it as more of a fictional novel), but it incorporates real news stories as well! The book is supposed to not only shed light on the conflict, but also on the resilience, bravery, and hope that the Palestinians instil in us through their actions.
The link (I hope it works) is attached below if anyone wants to check it out!

If you click on it, it would also be good if you read my review of it, as it contains the trigger warnings and notes about the book itself!

Free Palestine, in our lifetime insha'Allah! 🇵🇸🇵🇸

Marty Karbassion | 2 comments Hi everyone – thank you for letting me be part of this group.

I recently published a novel titled War in Our Hearts – The Scent of a Burned Future, which follows a refugee boy fleeing war and political betrayal in the Middle East.

It’s deeply inspired by real experiences from Gaza and the region, and explores the trauma of exile, the hypocrisy of global politics, and the unbreakable hope that survives even through destruction.

With the current tragedy in Gaza, this story feels more urgent than ever.

I'd be honored if you take a look or share it with someone who might find meaning in it.
