Happy Halloween! What are your favorite thrillers and/or horror books?

Kate Ansel | 1 comments I'm a big fan of the author Riley Sager who writes some great mystery/thriller books. My favorite of his is "The Only One Left." A perfectly spooky read with so many crazy twists!

I’ve been reading so many good horror novels lately!

I’m currently reading Sisters of the Lost Nation by Nick Medina. So far, it feels more thriller than horror, but there are certainly some spooky elements.

I also recently finished The Reformatory by Tananarive Due, which was excellent and very spooky.

Before that, I read The Burning Girls by C.J. Tudor, which was pretty dark. I couldn’t put it down!

Here are some others I’ve enjoyed:

- A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson
- What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher
- What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher
-Never Whistle at Night: An Indigenous Dark Anthology
- Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle
- The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White
- Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle
- If It Bleeds by Stephen King (or basically anything else by King)

Jessica Hamilton (jhamsallthingsenglish) | 1 comments Kate, I am a huge Riley Sager fan too! I was going to suggest his book, Home Before Dark! Perfect backdrop for spooky season with the story of a haunted house...my favorite of his! I also suggest most of Jeneva Rose's books, particularly her latest, Home is Where the Bodies Are and another, One of Us is Dead.

Moonkiszt (moonkisztgmailcom) | 11 comments This time of year I have to revisit The Halloween Tree by R Bradbury, and stories that scratch the part of me that itches about the Headless Horseman, wild midnight rides, the Van Tassels, Ichabod Crane and flaming pumpkins. . . .a witch launching her broom into the moonlit skies. . .
