I am currently reading the crooked kingdom and I love the plot twists and the relationship between the characters it is such an interesting book one of fav for sure !!!
Literally 5 minutes go I finished ‘a touch of ruin’ the hades x Persephone series. Just figuring out whether to cry & stare at my ceiling or read another to distract me from spiralling
I am reading Lord of the rings. I really like the world building, the characters and the story line.
I just finished A Court of Starlight and Frost! I am moving on to A Court of Sliver Flames later this week :)
Bloodguard by Cecy Robson
I am only 100 pages in, but I am very engaged! The plot has an interesting dynamic on trials, which I like!

I'm currently reading "The Oleander Sword" by Tasha Suri. It's the second book in "The Burning Kingdoms" trilogy. The third book comes out on the 12th of this month. I highly recommend it!Tropes: wlw, indian mythology/culture inspo, strong fmc, great magic system
@bookishlily Red Rising is on my TBR but I've mixed feelings on whether I'm gonna like it or not once I start it. What would you say is the best and the worst thing about it in your opinion?
@morwen Still don't have a lot to say about the second book, just started. But I would say that the first book as an intro, and beginning... it maybe be slow for some and just well balanced for others. I would say it makes sense (the pacing). The story is promising. the writing style is good and it just don't let you get bored. Plot after plots. A little bit of everything, but the whole plot is around dystopia and revolution. War and politics. Romance is just a "sugar square to sweeten your tea".
Hope it makes sense 🥲
Thanks! Seems like a perfect description to summarize the soul of a book without spoiling a single thing :D
Malice by John Gwynne. The writing style is 🚮(sorry, but it's true, and it has many " mistakes) But the plot saves the book. It's interesting
It's hard to get over how unedited are some books, I have mixed results with that :D must be one good plot if you are sticking with it

I'm a few chapters into When the Moon Hatched. It's not 'caught' me yet, so I'm finding it a bit of a slog!

I am currently reading Tempest of Wrath and Vengeance by Melissa K. Roehrich!
If you like Dark Fantasy Romance, you should give this series a try! Rain of Shadows and Endings (Book 1) is still my #1 fantasy this year!

I'm one of those people that sometimes goes from book to book then back to the original book. Most of the time, its usually because I need a break from it, or something sad happens. Im going between When the Moon Hatched and Quicksilver. They both have me reading like crazy right now
I'm reading The Tale of Tales, or Entertainment for Little Ones by Giambattista Basile. This is 17th century collection of fairy tales; the original was written in the Neapolitan dialect of Italian. Very unusual variants of some famous fairy tales (Cinderella and Puss in Boots, for example.) Somehow they are both rude and poetic. And definitely not for "little ones".
I am currently reading a book called, Divided Allegiance, which is book 2 of the Deed of Pakksenarion series.
I am not sure what I like most about it. I love the name, Pakksenarion, and I suppose I just like following the character to see what happens. I do not think the book is really crushing it on all the elements of story, but its enjoyable enough.
For me, it is homework. Of all the books I am aware of, Pakksenarion is the most like my own story, and so I am reading to see what it has. I think, I can safely say, no one will confuse us. For me, this is a long book, so it will take me a while to finish, and its book 2 of 3.
If you were interested in my story it is The Eye of Ebon. Languishing with no love....But I dont wish to spam ;)
