And is 2666 by Bolano considered too long? There is a paperback edition that is over 1,100 pages but the regular editions are 898 or 912.
I'll throw in the same selections I've put in for the last x years:
The Betrothed (Manzoni)
Melmoth the Wanderer (Maturin)
Finnegans Wake (Joyce)
Gravity's Rainbow (Pynchon)

Melmoth the Wanderer (Maturin)
Finnegans Wake (Joyce)
Gravity's Rainbow (Pynchon)
I second Patrick’s The Betrothed and Gravity’s Rainbow and add The Idiot which was a quarterly read before my time.
If there is a list with past reads that I should have checked first I apologize. I have two can't believe I haven't read it books on my list to nominate: A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
and then two french options :)
The Three Musketeers byAlexandre Dumas
Lost Illusions by Honoré de Balzac
I’ll nominate Crime and Punishment. Enjoyed the Franzen book this year, hope I can find the time for one of the quarterly reads next year also.
