This was just fun. Vampires, werewolves, and a soulless spinster colliding in a pseudo Victorian setting. (The Queen herself makes a cameo appearance.) The adventure is very tongue-in-cheek and the love story remains slightly steamy even though it’s also mocking all of the traditional tropes.

I never expected to like this book so much. I will wait awhile before I try the next book in the series. The humor of this book could get old with repetition.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11289 comments I enjoyed this too. I just read a book in her YA series. There is a young character in Etiqutte and Espionage that is related to the Scottish lead in the Soulless series. I don’t t think they’re set in the same exact time period though.

ShazM | 497 comments This is definitely one of my favourite books. I've enjoyed all of the Soulless series, although the earlier ones were better, and it's Alexia's character which makes it for me!
