If you're familiar with this author then you'd know his writing and this book is full on his trademark style with broken protagonist, snarky dialogues, and that stabby-feels in the last 100 pages.

If you're not familiar with this author then you may find the writing a bit off-kilter to start with and you may or may not get used to the pacing of it all but if you do get past it, this is totally worth it especially with all the chatter about AI these days. And while this book is targeted at young adult, Kristoff does bring that thing in his homages to old movies. I don't know too many movies but I pinpointed at least 3 in this book; that was fun! And I really have got no idea where he's taking these characters to... that is most excitement you can have in a book.
