Quicksilver may be my choice. Netflix just announced an adaptation so this is even more reason to read it!
Wow, the word "silver" is starting to look wrong to me now....The Silvered
Silver on the Road
Splashdance Silver
Silver Nitrate
Hemlock & Silver
Books I've read and enjoyed:
Spinning Silver
The Silver Metal Lover
Vision in Silver
The Silvered Serpents
Silver on the Tree
Silver in the Wood

I remember The Silver Chair being pretty cool, and the Narnia series also has the magical creatures element going for it.
Books I've read and recommend:Silver Saddles
Silver
The Silver Boat
I'm reading Sharp Objects right now (among others lol) and there is metallic silver on the cover. I have to imagine I'll finish it by the end of the, although somehow I have a different book in every room of the house at this point so who knows.
I actually thought I had more Silver titles, I don't seem to have any on my TBR except a reread of By the Shores of Silver Lake.
This one is easy for me. T. Kingfisher has a book coming out next year called Hemlock & Silver, so I'll read that :) For other ones on my TBR list that look good, there's some silver on the cover for Downbelow Station and The Collapsing Empire.

Good to know! that will probably be my choice too

I've wanted to read Flow Down Like Silver for ages. Also, if you want to read about the Women's Air Service Pilots (aka WASPs) who flew planes during WWII, there's a lot of books that have some variation of "Wings of Silver" in the title.

that book was on my TBR for YEARS, probably since the first year I joined GR. I finally decided I don't actually want to read it since I never did, so I took it off my list.

Going with:The Lost World
If you see this cover in person it's silver and since I read JP (book 1) this year, it will be fun to read the sequel.

If I get to it, I'll let you know how it is!
I have to request it from out of the local system, so I'll have to plan when I really want to read it.
Britany wrote: "From my TBR:The Silver Music Box
The Silver Linings Playbook
The Silver Boat
Silver Bay"
The The Silver Music Box is on my nightstand on my TBR as well, but there is also the Silver Nitrate I've been wanting to read -- there is enough to chose from for this prompt for sure!
I thought about adding The Silver Linings Playbook to my list. Haven't read that in years.I couldn't decide if I wanted an actual silver look in the cover (like the shinny stuff) or if I wanted the word.
I often see award winning books for children (think Newbery or Caldecott winners) with a silver seal on the front of the book. Sometimes it is in gold, so look through the edition versions here on GR to see if the winning book you are interested in is in the right color.
I'm going to go with When the Sea Turned to Silver for this one.Other ideas:
Long Way Down
Silvertongue
The Flight of the Silvers
I found these two books on my TBR bookshelf:*My Good Man by Eric Gansworth
*Queen Takes King by Gigi Levangie Grazer
I think I will read Queen Takes King
HAPPY READING!!
Despite the title, the bot on the cover of All Systems Red is definitely silver. I'd heard a lot about Martha Wells's "Murderbot Diaries" series, and I love the voice.http://www.lauraruthloomis.com/whats-...
Depending on how strictly you take the prompt, I have a number of books that the cover has the title design in silver. Cinder and all the other books in the Lunar Chronicles have silver metallic titles. Fairest also has the mirror in silver.
My copies of The Lockwood and Co. series have the titles in silver too: The Screaming Staircase
So does The Wicked Deep
I'm going with Babel: An Arcane History. The cover is silver if you get the "right" edition, it's an alternate history that turns on the existence of enchanted bars of silver, and I'm pretty sure the squares on this version of the cover are supposed to be made of silver.
Jessie wrote: "Spinning Silver and Silver in the Bone are a couple options if you like YA stuff :)"I love Spinning Silver! I just decided it was time for a reread. I also have Quicksilver on my list.
Ill probably go with Quicksilver, but if you wanna push the boundaries, you could always go with the authors last name for like Elsie Silver or Josie Silver ;) but that might be too much of a stretch for some. i do have Hell Bent on my TBR and When the Moon Hatched, but since i have both digitsal version of those, it doesnt feel "silver" so i dont know..
I read
by Evie Wyld. The blurb reads, "Everything is Teeth is a delicate and intimate collection of the memories she brought home to England, a book about family, love and the irresistible forces that pass through life unseen, under the surface, ready to emerge at any point."
Two more weeks and I start The Lost World !
(if you see the cover in person it's silver and not gray).
I've chosen to use a book with grey on the cover. That grey is intended to be silver and probably would be on a hardback; it's a spaceship. Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell
Silver on the pen!Finished Famous Last Words
by Gillian McAllisterMy Review:

I read
W. Somerset Maugham It's hard to tell in the picture of the cover but it has silver metallic spots scattered in the clouds
I was going to use Skin Game by Jim Butcher for #20 (as the author's 24th book) but then realized the title & author font are silver.
I just finished Hemlock & Silver yesterday. And interestingly enough, this book could also fulfill prompt #5 A Book with a snake on the cover and 2026 prompt #38 A book with any type of fruit on the cover or in the title.

This one is easy-peasy for me. There are several I've been wanting to read:
The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls
Silver Sparrow by Tayari Jones
I'm sure there are many more!
Some Goodreads Listopias to help:
(Not all books on these lists will include silver on the cover or in the title, so you'll need to peruse them thoroughly to determined those that do!)
