Stephen King Fans discussion

Hello.. please discuss If It Bleeds here. Please mark all spoilers for those reading along.

Unfortunately I cannot join in, as I’ve read it not long ago. Hope everyone enjoys it. I found it pretty good.

Have read the first two stories and have rated them as follows:
Mr. Harrigan’s Phone - 4/5 ⭐️
Reminds me of stories from the outer limits or something I once read in my brothers comics (Eagle - The 13th Floor) very spooky.
The Life of Chuck - 3/5 ⭐️
3 mini stories that make up the whole of the man in question. Not spooky or scary just fun.

Have yet to make up my mind on the final ratings, these are just initial thoughts.. 😊

I’ve finished Mr. Harrigan’s Phone and The Life of Chuck. Enjoyed both almost equally.
I hope the next 2 are equally entertaining. SK almost never disappoints.

I just finished If It Bleeds and about to start Rat. So far, If It Bleeds is my favorite of the 3. Holly is always awesome 👏 Thanks for suggesting this as the Group Read. Good Holly-Day reading ;<))

I will join in! I just requested a copy from my library. Normally I would go ahead and buy it because I collect King's hardcovers, but I am thinking of others this month. :)

Enjoyed Mr. harrigan’s phone and The life of Chuck. Half way through If it Bleeds and it is really good so far.

Looks like the story If It Bleeds is a winner with most people, something to do with Holly maybe..?

Anyone else wondering what the dude on the front cover of the Kindle edition is doing..? My husband thinks it’s someone sitting on a chimney. I thought so until a bit later when I looked closer and decided they looked like they were maybe thinking about jumping off something.. 😊

Probably my last update since I just finished Rat 🐀. Based on the name I had some preconceived idea that it would be my least favorite of the 4 stories. I was wrong. It was great. I gave the entire book a 5 rating.
The order on my favorites:
1) If It Bleeds - doesn’t everyone love Holly?
2) Rat 🐀- such a surprise
3) The Life of Chuck - dance 🕺🏻 on Chuck!
4) Mr. Harrigan’s Phone - great story, just fourth favorite 🤷🏻‍♂️
Thanks again for suggesting this book. Not sure I would have chosen it otherwise and I would have been missing out.

I've just started reading If It Bleeds today. I am enjoying it so far. I'm in the middle of Mr Harrigan's Phone and I really like the characters.

I finished the book a couple of days ago. My favourite story was Mr Harrigan's Phone, and then Rat. I enjoyed If It Bleeds as well. The Life of Chuck was my least favourite, but I still enjoyed it.

Overall, If It Bleeds is a really good book, and you can read it whether you've read Stephen King before or not.
