Since getting back into reading in 2023, I have made it a personal goal of read the number of books that match that last two digits of the current year. In 2025, my personal goal will be to aim for 25 books (though I might go a little over). Hoping for strong results because the reading slump has definitely been taking over in 2024. 🤭🤭🤭. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽!!!

Thank you so much Lisa for being a cheerleader right now. I need all of the support and good luck this year. While I don’t have any specific books that I am excited about, I do plan to spend this year trying to complete ALL of my NetGalley ARCs. 19 from 2024 and 9 for 2025. It is going to be a huge battle because of the all the library books that I have both ordered and failed to read from last year but… I THINK I CAN DO IT!!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽!!!

I completely understand the struggle of trying to dedicate part of a year to catching up on Netgalley backlist, specially when faced with the temptation of so many great new releases every year. I'm still trying to do the same from years ago 🤫. My aim is to get better at balancing old ARCs with requesting/accepting new ones.Go Lexi, Go Lexi! 📣

I know exactly what you mean. It has been a struggle not to order new ARCs this year. I have only managed to bring myself to order 2 new ones. The rest I just write down the title, author, and publication date and order them from my library. It just gets overwhelming sometimes and I miss reading from a the enjoyment perspective and not the chore perspective. Even now, I have 50 books checked out at the library with 60 on request. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I just keep telling myself that things will be okay. 😬😬😬!!!
