J. Mystery Here's the thing, the book was good, it was entertaining with an intriguing world and cast of characters. I had no problem reading the book and had an easy time picking it up after setting it down. I enjoyed myself. — But, after 1258 pages I'm still not sure what the main plot is about. Sanderson did reveal some mysteries which lead to questions, however they are not answered in this book. Obviously Sanderson meant for these answers to be breadcrumbs that encourage readers to consume the sequels. I feel I failed to grasp the gravity of what's at stake. There is no real tangible threat. Simply an idea of one. Maybe Sanderson wrote it that way on purpose, maybe it's the people themselves who threaten everything and there is no external foe. I don't even know what my point is anymore. I guess I'm just trying to understand the ending and the best way to do that is to read Book 2.

...Damn you Sanderson.
