Started... 30 minutes in and Hank has been stabbed in the butthole... downsides to being relatively immune to damage...

I enjoyed the book, but kinda lost the plot, towards the end... even when I went back and relistened to the last dozen short chapters...

I started this today, quite a turn from Malazan lol The book is pretty much potty humor, stabbed in the butthole, the puking and bathroom antics, all made me chuckle at the stupidity of it lol

Fair...

Crap is even in the title of this one...

There's just something about these that make them more palatable than some other potty humor books I've read in the past...

Reading this today. Through Chapter 21 and (view spoiler)[I was laughing at the opening scenes with the twin acrobatic knife women, and the Gun of Unusual Size. I really like Bronzie (? the buy who runs into Hank, invites him home for a drink, and gets free food from cleaning toilets) and I hope he doesn't turn out to be either a spy or something, or dead... I didn't do a great job of paying attention to how everything resolved in the end (does it really matter?... that's barely the point with these)...

But my theory was (view spoiler)[that he was the guy the twins' sister was on the planet to kill... that way all the plots would merge...

Not sure if that's true, tho, since the plot escalated into another thing past the half way point, to setup the next tectonic shift for book 3... (hide spoiler)]

Through Chapter 29, Yeah, that's my working theory too... or that (view spoiler)[Bronzie is the third twin Hank was hired to find? They said she'd be in disguise...

But I can't believe the pile of dead dates in front of Hank's door... WTF?? Stop bringing people home!! You're just getting them killed! But Garm on a date with Bronzie was pretty funny. (hide spoiler)]

LOL and similar thing happened--totally lost track of everything at the end, just enjoying the insanity of it all...

At a certain point, things just accelerated into silliness, and the most important thing is (view spoiler)[the new military presence, and Garm planning to buy the station for pennies on the dollar...

Book 3 jumps ahead another big time jump, and shakes things up as usual, and continues to explore Hank's growing density problems...

I think I've also read book 4, but not book 5-10... (hide spoiler)]

I think the series cuts back on big time jumps after the first 3 books, but I could be wrong... not everyone is as long-livable as Hank, without hijinks, I don't think...

I (view spoiler)[ship Hank & Garm, as a potential romance... he has random thoughts sometimes, and they're at turns antagonistic and friendly... I think Garm is the only woman he really has a longterm chance with, as someone whose known him for decades/etc... (hide spoiler)]

I can get behind that ship!

I finished this and I enjoyed the ride, it is stupid and ridiculous and fun, I didn't pay close attention to the plot I just went along for the ride :)

I haven't read Stank Delicious, the sports one yet, or anything after...
