New to the group if there is anything you have read to help you figure out the journey would love to open the book up.

The Buddha's teaching was a practical method of achieving superconsciousness due to the energetic effect of the practice of shamatha (many-year daily many-hour maintaining a state of absence of thoughts with collectedness and clarity of mind), and for the first 3 centuries it was transmitted orally with inevitably accumulating distortions. Later, various religious movements arose on the basis of the Buddha's teaching – Theravada, Tibetan Lamaism, and so on.
okay I will dig more into shamatha and see where that gets me. in the moment I am turning the pages of Awakening wisdom vajaryana Buddhism.
pretty much learning about seven point posture, meditation with lights I feel like to connect with celestial energy and blockages, learning about the five point poison and cravings and the end of cravings. just getting into the four boundless attitudes.
You may want to check out "The Core Teachings of Dalai Lama" (12 books) and "The Library of Wisdom And Compassion" (10 books) by HHDL and Thupten Chodron.
