Leslie aka StoreyBook Reviews (hugbandit7) Just wondering if anyone is still reading this book and/or participating in the Oprah class (or is that over?)

I go in spurts...I'm up to chapter 8 and have about 80 pages left in the book.

Buff (buffholtman) | 3 comments I'm still reading the book, THE NEW EARTH, and participating by watching Oprah's discussion on line every Monday evening.

It helps listen to Eckhardt verbalize and explain what I've just read. The earlier chapters were more mind opening, but I'm just at Chp 7 now and am hoping for more understanding.

The one thing I have gotten out of the book and discussion is that understanding just helps me take care of me without needing to change the people or situations around me. It is liberating.

Evelyn (evie77) Yep! Still reading, still enjoying Aha! moments.

Noni Kaufman | 5 comments What I am appreciating is the whole process with deeper learning provided by the many people asking questions from around the world. What a connection we are forming. I'm just on the eve of flying to India to the Oneness India for deepening in my own process of connection. Awakening into Oneness is a wonderful book to follow on with to Tolle's book. Many hundreds of thousands of people will be contemplating and praying in a temple to be newly consecrated on April 22. This for the awakening of all of us.

Jeri Ray (jeriray) I read it on class night! And I highlight heavily. Plus I print out the transcript a few days after and highlight that as well. It helps me absorb it.

Chriss I think I'm in the last chapter and I'm trying to let it all soak in. So far there have been many sections that I want to re-read but what I'll probably end up doing is re-reading the entire book once I get done and let it sit for a bit. There is much to take from it if we allow ourselves to and I am ready for my "New Earth"!

I think talking about the concepts with others helps us to truly understand the them. It can look complex, but it's actually very simple. You are not your thoughts. You are so right, that concept is very liberating.

I just keep rereading the whole lot. One read is not enough to take in the wealth of knowledge, and as you grow in understanding of it, each sentence becomes another wonderful gift.

Taneka (ninatravis) | 1 comments I am still reading it. I am reading it chapter by chapter and following the Oprah and Eckhart webcast that are available on Oprah.com. I realized that I needed to take the time to understand this book clearly. I accept what it teaches, but sometimes I get confused on what he is trying to share. The videos are helping a lot.

Smj | 3 comments That's the beauty of what Tolle says. If you try to figure it out with mind, you will never be able to understand it.
