Elrond's Extra Emissaries
K - Gwen has books that count for EDITH letters in title, Author's initials in PHILOLOGIST, and a book published in January.I can read
for multiple letters and
for South Africa. And I have
for Author Christopher.
If any of y'all can think of a new name for our team now that there are four of us just let me know. It can be anything LOTR related and I was trying to connect it to our work but so far I got nothing.
Sarah wrote: "I will do a main character who smokes and family first for the first tasks. SMSA"I just looked at the task again and it is a MPG Family so that Joe Pickett book doesn't work actually. It was tagged and not MPG. Sorry - I remembered the task wrong. I was thinking of Killer Clowns and not LOTR party.
Hey guys! I'm going to join in on this too! I'll be doing #11, with Hunting Adeline and H.D. Carlton is the author!
And so our journey begins! I have to finish up a few quick audiobooks but then I will begin my letters book in the next couple of days. I think that
might count for MC with multiple children so I will be reading that if no one else has one for that.
Ok- tracking sheet added to the end of the first post in the thread. It's cool if you don't want to add your books that way you can just keep posting in this thread which tasks you are reading. I will still update the tasks at the top whenever books are completed cuz I like the way book covers look in the thread.
Our first book for a task completed! I switched out my book for task 3 so I am still listening to that book and then I will start my book for task one after that one is finished.
I finished my book for task 9 a book with a Christmas scene on the cover. The book I read for it was how my neighbor stole Christmas
I'll be starting my letters audiobook soon - I just have to finish one for other challenges. I also have
for MC with multiple children so if no one else has one to fit it won't take me long to listen to that one.
I finished Savage Hearts tonight. I think it covers #7 because character moves to Russia or the authors name is J.T Geissinger so initial for authors name?
If no one has talked about taking it, i'll do #14, Find the girl by Helen Phifer, published Jan 19th 2022 😈 i'll let you know when i finish!
K - got it updated. You'll have to let me know if it is any good since it is on KU I can add it to my quick read books.
So the only tasks left unclaimed are MPG Family and MC with multiple children. I do have books for these but if anyone else wants to read for those tasks then feel free to do so.
Finished #14! Karen I think you'd like this series. I think there are like 14 books total but I always have one downloaded at any given time, they are such fast paced, easy read mystery/thrillers. I love them!
Just kidding guys, when i googled it the first time I thought it said it took place in South Africa but i misread it and it does not take place in south africa.
I just finished task #12 w/ Brutal Vows J.T. Geissinger. Declan smokes several times throughout the book starting on page 248 on.
I have 3 non-fictions sitting here. I can do son of a poacher by Warden Scott Webelow, Slenderman by Kathleen Hale, or Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan. I am interested in Slenderman but Kristen has already read it but not for any of these tasks. Brain on Fire I read years ago for school but it is not on my read list. Son of a poacher is a rough read and might take me a little longer. What are your thoughts.
I say go with Slenderman if that’s the most interesting. Son of a Poacher doesn’t seem to have any MPG genres cuz not enough people have shelved it so it doesn’t count. We could probably get a Mod exception to that but it would be easier to just use Slenderman.
Karen im sorry, i really tried to find something, but i have found nothing that i think would hold my interest for South Africa 😭
I started a book called the promise that should work for South Africa. If I read it right when I looked up the book on here it was tagged South Africa. Still not very good at using goodreads so not 100% sure if I'm reading the stuff correctly.
Dominique- I understand cuz I be had that same oronlem! And Kristen- The Promise does count since Pretoria is the capital of South Africa. And yes- I Googled that too.
Woop woop i found one! I can do MPG Family with War of the Wives by Tamar Cohan! I'll let you know when i finish! Also, Karen, correct me if im wrong if it wont count!
