I honestly didn’t think I would finish the book before the New Year; I could have put it on my Depeche Mode challenge but It seemed to cover a lot of the prompts I already crossed out.

Lori wrote: "This book is in my TBR. How did you like it?"I loved it, but I'm not 100 % sure why. It was kind of like meditating. I admit that it could be considered a boring book, but I felt refreshed after reading it.

My re-reading The Castle of Otranto recently has influenced my interpretation of this book, because it really felt like an 18th century gothic romance dropped into a 21st century cli-fi setting.
