It was good and slightly different from typical ones

Also it's one of the urdu books where the cover and the title actually matches the story (story is majorly based in suderban hence the cover and the title)

1st challenge complete...a book by male author...Maine bachpan ka december padhi

kya yahan pe kisi ne Jo bache hain sang samait lo book padhi hai ...Maine bhot koshish ki wo padhne ki but mujse padhi nai ja rahi hai wo 5 6 pages k aghe ...aap plz mujhe bol sakte hain k mujhe yeh padhni chaiye ya nai ...I don't know why ...but mai padhna chahati hu but padh nai pa rahi hu

Maine prhi hai lekin kafi saal pahle 2019 me shayd to mujhe kuchh yaad nahi hai khas uska but mera usko reread krne ka plan hai to hm saath me prh lnge !?

Very mediocre plot, if we compare to the another one by the author that is 'Mata-e-jaan hai tu', as these two are often mentioned together. Have you read that? If not I'd recommend to read that instead. And if yes, then, your call, I wouldn't like really recommend somebody to read it unless they want to do it themselves. Btw, Netflix show is coming on the same book too.

I am reading Chirag tale by mushtaq ahmed yusufi, for one of the prompts!! Felt soo good reading that 'old' urdu.. the clean tanz, even if it doesn't make one laugh out loud, it sure does put a smile on your face, with some wisdom gems here n there.

How are y'all doing with the challenge?
Should we do some buddy reads? If y'all are up for it? @Momina @Arifa

Urdu writer ka debut novel milna thorha mushkil hai afsane novelett type mil skte hain pr novel ke liye to waqai nazar rkhni padegi

After li'l bit search I found this book it's a debut novel publish in april 2024 we could try this

Right, but from there once I had found a gem, Ishq aatish, which is till date her debut and only novel. I so wish she write more. But yeah, we'll see if there's any. Btw, with New we mean new for us, y'know.

I think you missed my msg where I suggested the book Ghuroob e Shehr Ka Waqt غروبِ شہر کا وقت for the debut urdu novel by writer Osama Siddique
It was published in april 2024

I had ishq aatish only in mind (dusri I can't remember any)

Maine JBHSSL complete kr li hai kl lekin abhi Main koi doosra novel nhi start krna chahti and that too a sad one thorhe kaam kr lun uske baad kren start??(Bcz I know myself onceI start any (engaging) novel I am not able to any chores 😭)

Yeah sure, no hurries... Also, since Ramadan is approaching I've thought of reading smth non-fic, islamic/personal development related, so that I can continue reading that in Ramadan too, hence I'm reading 'مسلمان جھوٹے خدائوں کے نرغے میں I've immense respect for the work he's doing, and his lectures somehow works on me (alhamdulillah), He has YT channel too with the name of (ERDC) incase you wanna checkout. Plus the urdu is so pretty in the book.

Have you read Noorseen / نورسین ?? If not I'd highly recommend, it's a pretty short read and won't disappoint!

How are y'all doing?
I'm pretty behind in reading everything... Yeah but manages to read Asiya raees novels, it has become my comfort read like Iffat seher was before, so whenever I feel like reading, I read her books, and they easily finish in one sitting, and are hardly off putting.
