Introductions and Welcome
Hello! My name is Franche. I am a psychology major and fashion enthusiast (hence my Carla Bruni profile picture). I am 19 years old and have always loved to read, however, this is my first time getting into goodreads -- I've never really used it before. Looking for new friends and discussions. I love analyzing and breaking down books along with investigation! If I could choose any other major it would certainly be Philosophy. I love to read 18th - 20th century classics and recently have gotten into Dostoevsky. I am dying to read The Idiot and Crime and Punishment (waiting for them to arrive from amazon!). I also love dystopian classic literature like Orwell, Huxley, Atwood, Vonnegut, etc.
I also love reading in Spanish, works from Juan Rulfo, Clarice Lispector, Gabriel García Márquez, etc. I also enjoy contemporary works like Fiesta en la Madriguera by Juan Pablo Villalobos.

Hello! I'm Kirill, a physics undergrad My interests lie squarely in the sciences, but I also read a lot about history, economics and society in general. I also have a passion for foreign languages and I'm currently learning Mandarin Chinese (and Japanese in the near future).I started with Eco's The Name of the Rose a few days ago and I've been enjoying it so far. Hope to discuss with you guys!
Nice to meet you, Kirill. I am in awe of anyone who has a facility with language. I have forgotten the schoolbook French that I once knew and I have never had the daring to tackle any others.

Hello, I'm Alex, and I'm a slow reader. I've been reading mostly classics for a while now, and the trouble comes with which one to read next. So I look forward to everyone's opinions to add a few miles to the never ending, always shuffling to be read list. Cheers!

Hello, all ya classic litters. As a new member, "Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste (not exactly true, on either count)..."... My appreciation to the Rolling Stones for usage of their "Sympathy for the Devil"... My name is Michael, and I'm a retired teacher, excited to expand my literary horizons with y'all.

Hi everyone! I'm Milja from Finland! I really love reading classics (from ancient Greek plays to modern classics) so I wanted to find a group to read and discuss them with people :) My favourite authors are Virginia Woolf and Euripides. Lately I've been reading quite a bit of modernist literature and poetry!
