I grabbed this one when I saw the blurb and it mentioned Narnia. Or something like it. I am still waiting for my personal wardrobe gate to another world. Maybe if I wish harder...

Anyway, I started it last night, and about twenty pages in I am loving it. It does start with a bang.

I'll start it in a bit! I have a meeting at 7:30 - so after that.

I want my own personal wardrobe that opens to another world too!!

I am about halfway through. I am finding this enchanting.
There are a few things that I am trying to figure out as far as how I would react. Sorry, bad sentence.

How the hell did these guys get on with life after their disappearance? We know from the blurb that they go to another world, somehow, and they did when they were kids. So we go in knowing that, but Rafe doesn't. I just read far enough to find out why, and it does make sense. It is infuriating, but it makes sense.

I have to say, I want the bed that Rafe made. I can totally picture that four poster, and it sounds beautiful. My issue in reality is that I move around a lot, so I don't think having big pieces of wood to kick when I am sleeping would be a good idea. But I still want it.
And, with several books that I have read that describe artwork that is compelling, I want to see it! I want to see the paintings and sculptures that Rafe made over the years.

I'm about half way through also! I'm really enjoying this book!

(view spoiler)[I would have to be like Jeremy and just not be around my best friend if I couldn't tell him anything about be lost for months! Especially if I knew everything about it and my bestie didn't remember any of it!! But, damn, that entire situation would suck!! (hide spoiler)]

I've read the part that explained by too. I'm still not sure I could have done it! I mean I understand why he didn't tell, but man! I can only imagine Rafe's feeling with Jeremy not telling him anything and then to just stay away from him. I'm not sure who had it rougher! I'd love to see the sculptures and paintings and things that Rafe made. They sound amazing!!

So much happening in this book!

Learning about why Emily was adopted, and (view spoiler)[Skya telling Emily about wanting to keep her when she was just a baby... how sad! But cute to know why Emily loves Fleetwood Mac! (hide spoiler)]

When the Ghost Town (view spoiler)[was mentioned I thought that the Prince's enemy might be his dad.... I sorta hope that I'm wrong because that would be an awful thing to have to face a man that hit him and who knows what else when he was a boy! (hide spoiler)]

I want to keep reading, but I need to go to bed! I have a 7am meeting....ugh!

I stopped this one for the night to read another, which thank goodness is also good, but not like this one.

What do you think of the "Storyteller Corner" segments? Took me a while to get used to them.

Well, I want to know who the story teller is. I assume his name is Grimm or his first initials are C.S.
I think they are fun little teases. A bit frustrating, but fun.

Well that took longer than I wanted it to. I was on the phone with my sister for a looong time, and then I fell asleep on the sofa, and then I finished the book.

I loved this. And, I will comment more in the morning after I wake up.

I want more of Shanandoah. The only gripe I have with this book is that it was too short. I think there could have been much more back story about the boys' time in that place.

The Ghost place was creepy as hell. I was with you in thinking that it was Rafe's dad that had to be the King, but only because we hadn't met that many people in Shanandoah. He was a prejudiced jackass that made him being EVIL an easy step in the narrative. I do love how that thread ended though. People can change their ways.

The Ghost City was creepy! I thought the King would be his dad because they referred to him once as Rafe's mortal enemy. The first thing I thought was that his dad was really his only enemy. He was a piece of work, absolutely a prejudiced jackass! But, it was really cool that he did change his ways. (hide spoiler)]

Do you think if we ask Ms. Shaffer very nicely, she will get out her unicorn pen and write a story quickly?

Same. I've got one book I've barely started today so First Lie Wins tomorrow for me and this one either late tomorrow or Tuesday

Anyone starting this today? I could, or could hold off until tomorrow if nobody is ready

I’m starting now and then I’m switching over to a long book for red dragon.

I’m on chapter 6 and I enjoy it so far! I already knew I liked this authors writing, and there’s a good build up of the mystery going on. Plus the LGBT on the MPG has me looking for that romance lol

1. I coincidentally am wearing a Fleetwood Mac shirt today.
2. I loved this line, “ I don’t know what’s worse, that he doesn’t remember I’m in love with him or that he doesn’t remember he was in love with me”🥺

I love Fleetwood Mac so enjoying the song references. I’m only on chapter 2 but so far the book has a magical feel that I love.

I finished and absolutely loved it! I think that more could have been explained, but I don't even care because I loved the magical world and relationship and all the characters.

I"ll be starting this tomorrow.

I hope you love it Lisa, it's definitely better than First Lie Wins lol

Girls, as much as i like the sound of this , ive got too many longer books this month ( 2 over 400 pgs 😳😭😭😭) , so going to give a miss .

It's really good, so if you ever need something like it, give it a try. I finished last night and loved every minute of it.

I finished. This was a beautiful book and I loved it. What a wonderful story with great characters. I want more. It felt like she was leaving it open for a sequel. (view spoiler)[Jeremy and Rafe have to get back so maybe? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The whole storyline with Rafe's father was painful but added so much to the overall story. I cried so often through the last half of this book. (hide spoiler)]

Two books so far for Meg Shaffer and I've loved both of them. Can't wait for her next.

I was excited when I found out Meg Shaffer was a pen name, but it looks like her other name (Tiffany Reisz) mostly writes erotica, so probably none of our cups of tea

My goodness! She's got a bunch under Tiffany Reisz. But no, they don't look like anything I'd want to read.

I read the Goldwyck series ages ago. Very faux highbrow erotica. I won’t go back.

Only on Chapter 2, but good so far. I'm reading this and Liar City at the same time since I can't read this one in bed (its an actual book and I need a kindle at night).

i'm excited to read more. I assume Ralph comes into the picture at some point....

I'm not very far, but enjoying this. I like the banter between Jeremy and Emilie.

I enjoy the insert of the Storyteller Corner.

About 1/3 of the way done.....I must say actual books are a bit intimidating. Easier to see how much more you have to read.

I'm just at where they are re-entering the forest. I'm really enjoying this
