The feeling I get is that many users don't care so much about the accuracy of book records.
Many users just want a title and a cover to match the book they have in their hands, and a pagenumber to get their stats right.
This user should be one of those cases. The book was a mess but OP just cared about getting a pagecount so, IMO, there is no point in informing OP to make the request in a more appropriate section if OP doesn't understand the need for other details being accurate.
