The Procrastinators Book Club discussion

Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during February. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).

I think February is the month of series so don't have much planned outside of the series currently working on - really just Under Loch and Key & Kaikeyi

@Anuskha - perfect! I was aiming for the beginning of the month. Is there a specific pace you would like to aim for?

Beginning of the month would be fine. Let's pace the book for about 10 days or so?

10 days works for me! We can start on the 1st if that's okay? My paperback copy has 41 chapters plus an epilogue so a total of 42 and 475 pages so it would be 4-5 chapters a day or an average 47.5 pages a day? Would that work? I can put together the schedule if it is!

I should be able to do this one as well! If we can wait on planning until Sophie and I figure out the next in Throne of Glass because if we are doing the tandem read I would not want to try to do this one at the same time, it would be appreciated.

@Anushka Would love to read it, but sadly didn’t yet manage to read book 1 and book 2 sitting on my tbr for a while…. Probably won’t be able to read both before you would start this br.

I feel like since Fable was a quick easy read, we can do a week long spread for this, as well. Would the beginning of February work?

@Sophie! Yesss! I'm really looking forward to Onyx Storm. The sooner, the better. February 1 would be great. The pace might be a bit fast since I've desperately waited for the release. The chapters tend to be really long with this series. So keeping that in mind, would 5 chapters be too much?

That should be fine. When my copy arrives tomorrow, I'll flip through and see if I can work out an even schedule. If it had to be broken down into pages, how many would you want to read a day?

It looks like it will have to overlap which is fine! Would the 2nd half of the month be okay? It looks like a hefty book so how long would you like to break it up over?

I'd prefer if it didn't coincide with the february readathon, and since that seems like it's gonna fall on the 8th-14th, any time before or after that is fine with me!

Per usual I bit off potentially more than I can chew but I think I can manage with so many books overlapping. Work will be calming down and with everything that has happened personally in January, February better be more chill there also. lol It looks like it's around 700 pages so I think 2 weeks should be okay - an average around 50 pages/day?
