Love, in All Its Forms
February often brings thoughts of Valentine’s Day, but love takes many shapes beyond romance. This theme dives into the diverse ways we experience love—be it the bonds of friendship, the complexities of family, the beauty of self-love, or timeless tales of romance. These stories remind us that love, in all its forms, lies at the heart of the human experience. This is our “new” category, so there are no restrictions on publication dates.
Black Voices, Black Stories
In celebration of Black History Month, this theme honors the depth and diversity of Black voices across all genres. From compelling fiction to eye-opening nonfiction, these works offer a window into the experiences, histories, and dreams of Black individuals and communities. By reading books by Black authors, we celebrate their creativity, stories, and significant contributions to literature and culture. This is our legacy category, so please limit your suggestions to books published at least a year ago.
Now it’s your turn! Let’s hear your recommendations for both themes. Simply reply here with your suggestions and be sure to note which theme they belong to. I’ll gather all the input and create polls this weekend so we can finalize our selections. Please submit your recommendations by the end of the day on Saturday, January 25th.
I can’t wait to see the amazing books we’ll discover together in February. Wishing you all a fantastic week and weekend ahead!
