I’m obsessed with the characterization. Everyone feels like a real/fully thought out person. This is my first Grady Hendrix book. If this is something he does well in all his books, I think I found a new favorite author lol
I read a couple chapters tonight and can't wait for this one! I didn't like the last Grady Hendrix book I read, but I think I'm going to like this one!
This book proved that pregnancy horror tropes are not my cup of tea. And despite that, I still enjoyed it and red it super fast, brilliantly written.
I've been putting this off. Mum is in the LDBC and started before I did. I'm expecting it a little one, Mum has advised me this book might be a bad idea right now. I knew nothing about the book before picking it up. Would be interested to know your thoughts, should I skip it or read it through my fingers and one eye closed?
I'm also pregnant and so far it is not bothering me! It definitely depends on how you handle things though. Everyone is going to be different, I personally don't find a lot of things that trigger me. I'm also only 6 chapters in though, so I have a bit to go.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but there are very detailed scenes of giving birth. If that would bother you, maybe wait it out.
