Those That Did Not Die question

Just curious to know how many other women here have been through an abusive situation with a close family member? In my case, it was a spouse just home from combat overseas. Since then I've worked with a shelter as a peer counselor, and one-on-one with those who have been through similar circumstances. I never refer to US as victims because we can come out of the situation as stronger people. I plan to guest speak on this subject once my book has been read and given some reviews...it just went up a couple of weeks ago. But I would like to hear others' stories to add to my knowledge...names never revealed, of course!
