15.10 May For Growth

The month of May was named for the Maia, the Roman goddess of spring and growth.
Read the most recent published book ( as of March 1, 2025) in a series of at last 3 published books.
The series name and number must be indicated in the GR title listing in grayscale parentheses following the title or grayscale italics above the title.

Susan A | 1759 comments Read the most recent published book ( as of March 1, 2024)

I'm confused about the year. Am I looking for a book that was published before March 1 2024, or after March 1 2024? Or is that a typo? Should it be 2025?

I was looking to read The Last Guy On Earth which is #3 in series, pub on February 18, 2025

or

Who Will Remember #20 which has Expected publication April 15, 2025

Do either or both of these work?

The year needs to be updated. SO sorry. I will do that now. Its 2025

So the first book works great.

Apple | 434 comments So, do we mean the last #, or the last book published? Thinking The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which is technically the last book published.

last one published. :) this would work.

Kathy KS | 2440 comments Would this one work? I plan to read the collected version here. The GR record specifies that it is #1-12 of 12. Since the last volume (#12) is included, does that work?
Far Sector

Paula S (paula_s) | 642 comments I'm looking at some series where the last published novel is #3, but there has been a #3.5 short story published after. Would that work for this task?

Books I'm thinking of are Nona the Ninth (currently the last novel with book 4 expected later this year) or Only Human (last book in trilogy).

I'm also looking at Ancillary Mercy, which is the third book in a trilogy, but the series page includes unnumbered later books. Can I use the third book in the trilogy? Can I use the latest unnumbered book?

Does any of these books work? It's fine if not, I'll find something else.

Sorry for the late response.

So, our take on that would be that we have to use the isolated part from an omnibus rule - which means the individual work has to have been published separately and meet minimum page requirements. Based on that, I'd say we have to reject it, unfortunately.

Rules of the Challenge -> Book Formats, Page Numbers, Genres -> 11.

[book:Far S..."

Thanks, that's why I asked. I can see it both ways, so wanted an interpretation.

Célia | Estante de Livros (celiamar) | 17 comments Sorry if this is obvious, but can I consider the last published book of a finished series? Or it must be the last published book of an ongoing series?
Thanks

Joanne (joabroda1) | 1623 comments The task says nothing about whether the series is complete or not.

So, as long as the book shows the latest publication date and there are at least 3 books in the series that have been published, you are good to go.
