Beyond Reality discussion

First, your moderators want to thank everyone who weighed in on the discussion regarding staying at Goodreads or moving Beyond Reality to another platform. Based on the comments both here and those received in private messages, we have decided to stay here! Yay!

Second, to celebrate staying here and to expand opportunities for participation, we are adding something called “Challenge of the Quarter”. Every 3 months, we will post a new challenge. We hope it will give our members more opportunities to participate, even if you are not reading the current Books of the Month (BotM) or series discussion books. As is true for all our book discussions topic threads, the challenge topic threads will never close, so if you don’t get to a challenge during the quarter it is first offered, you can always join in when it’s convenient for you!

And third, Chris (one of the long-time mods) is considering stepping back from the moderator duties. If you are interested in helping moderate the group, please either reply here and one of the mods will get in touch with you via a private message, or contact me (Kathi) via a private message. The mods divide the tasks among us and rotate the jobs periodically. We can share more info if you are interested. If not, we do have a backup plan, so the group will continue to function smoothly.
