- DNF The Princess Bride (originally book #9): I tried, I really did, but I hated this book - only got 1/3 way through it. Replaced it with Shadow Princess (originally book #2 of my plus 4)

I have Shadow & Bone, as well. I need to know more about this Grishaverse, after reading Six of Crows.

The Princess Bride was a fantastic movie, but I need to read the book too.

Seems like a nice mix, Kristen. I have enjoyed Far from the Madding Crowd and The Princess Bride.

What a great list, Kristen. I enjoyed Shadow and Bone, The Princess Bride, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I do own The Twentieth Wife which is the first book in the Taj Mahal trilogy - I hope to one day get it read and get all the way to Shadow Princess. Happy reading!

Most of these have been on my TBR for a while so I figured this challenge was a good opportunity to start whittling down that list. I'm most looking forward to Lights Out and The Princess Bride.

Thanks! I'm hoping one of my book clubs chooses The Princess Bride for our May read - so that's on hold.

Next month I have Be Free or Die: The Amazing Story of Robert Smalls' Escape from Slavery to Union Hero on my reading list... and I'll probably also tackle Great Big Beautiful Life as soon as it's out at the end of April.

Sadly, I had to DNF a book The Princess Bride - which sucks since this was actually the book I wanted to read the most on this list. I was so disappointed in this book.

So, now I have a 12 +3 list.

On the plus side, I did finish Her Soul to Take - so a total of 5 done, with 8 + 2 to go. :-)

Another one off the list! 6 done - 7 + 2 to go!

More than half way finished - 5 + 2 to go :-). I hope I can finish by the end of the year.
