Play Book Tag discussion

Just before Halloween in the small town of Green Town, Illinois, two young boys hear the distinctive sound of a calliope. Will and Jim are thrilled to see that a carnival, Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show, has come to town. Their excitement soon turns to fear and even horror as the realize this is not a normal carnival. A carousel that seems possessed, a frightening mirror maze and the sinister carny folk themselves cause Will and Jim to begin to fear for their very lives. Will's father becomes a hero to the two boys as he steps up to face the evil that has come to their town.

The audio of this book was very well done and I appreciate Bradbury's work. The eerie atmosphere comes across quite clearly and the horror the two boys face is evident. I hoped to like it more than I did but it was a story I felt could have been told in at least 100 fewer pages.
