Here is a call for nominations for the April 2025 Book of the Month. The theme is the letter "A"; Novels where the author's last name starts with "A".


Here is a list of the previous books we have read in this group to make sure your nomination has not been a previous Book of the Month:

1. One nomination per person.
2. Poll will be set up when we reach 6 valid nominations.
3. Nominations should have been first published earlier than March 1975.
4. It would be great if you could share why you want to read this book.
5. To get a wider variety of selections, the nominations may be limited to one book per author.

Is it ok to nominate a collection of short stories? I thought of Winesberg, Ohio Winesberg, Ohio by Sherwood Anderson
however, it's not a novel.

I nominate Watership Down by Richard Adams. I've always wanted to read it.

I'd like to nominate The Tevye Stories by Sholom Aleichem. I've always enjoyed the musical, Fiddler On the Roof, and these are the stories on which it was based!

I’d like to nominate “Northanger Abbey” from Jane Austen. Looks like that one hasn’t been read yet by this group.

I nominate The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.

I agree with Winesburg, Ohio being nominated as that's what I would have nominated.

I like the premise although I think my library doesn't have it, so have to think how to get it...:-(
