The Audiobook Challenge is designed to not only help you to read your audiobooks, but to also find out about other great audiobooks from other challenge participants!
Though you may pop in/out at any time, the Audiobook Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.
There are no minimum page requirements, and you can read abridged or unabridged audiobooks!
1. At the beginning of the month, post :
a: How many audiobooks in total you want to read for the month
b: How many audiobooks in the monthly category you want to read
c: Post the audiobooks (as you decide on them) by linking them to Goodreads in your post
2. During the month, read the audiobooks that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)
3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s) - note: can only be linked to Goodreads and not an external site
c: How many audiobooks you have read for this challenge this year
Then start a new post for the next month!

March would have been a good month for this for me, as I've been grabbing lots of audible+ freebies to cover individual challenge tasks while waiting for the team challenges to roll over into April.We'll see how much patience I have for "books of dubious quality" towards the end of April 😆

I did go with autumn as I deserve my own seasons represented sometimes 🤣🤣🤣 May- July I went with the northern hemisphere lol
I'm not sure the robot managed to evoke Karl, but it's a very nice nice picture anyway 😁hey, I prefer the red leaves look over flowers and whatnot personally, so no complaints about Aus season usage here 😆

My April Recommendation (and why): Without a doubt, My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher. I have read this book multiple times a year for the past few years. The story is sweet and moving, and the narration by David Tennant exponentially adds to the enjoyment of experiencing the story of 10-year-old Jamie navigating his life 5 years after the death of his older sister in a terrorist bombing.

I'm not as much a fan of autumn, purely because around here it rains every single day. Gets old very, very quickly.

These were my 6 stars of the month. I think they were my favorites because I was surprised I liked them so much.
- Romance (Coming of age, family issues, forgiveness)
- Retelling of Romeo and Juliet but in such a creative way
Time jump fantasy, loved because I thought of Newsies and The Greatest Showman the whole time.

I also quite like Autumn... in March.
Because once it gets to the end of May I get grumpy as it really starts to get cold. 😂

ahhh, being too hot... I remember that from my trip to Oman. Mostly not a problem because everywhere was air-conditioned though.Leeds doesn't generally do the too hot thing 😆

MY MONTHLY RECOMMENDATION (and why):
Of the audiobooks that I read, I would highly recommend The Long Goodbye by Rayond Chandler. Beyond being a classic mystery and having lots of twist and turns, this audiobook is great fun because the publisher decided to recreate the mood of 1950s mysteries with dramatic music between chapters that help transport you to a bygone era.

MY MONTHLY RECOMMENDATION (and why)
I only read free audiobooks so this is definitely my month! 28 audiobooks read YTD (including this month)
6 so far for april - hopeful to read at least another 5 so 11 total.
Ended up only listening to 10, but I'm happy with that as it was double last months listening.
Very happy with my reading this month! I would recommend trying out the Sookie Stackhouse series (if you like vampires/werewolves) even on a reread I've been enjoying myself.
I just downloaded a bunch of library books and I'm hoping to get through most of this month so I'm jumping in. Hopefully this will motivate to read them all before my loans expire. Read for monthly theme:
