Have you tried recorded Churchill speeches? He could move me to tears.

I need stuff like this for my commute to work. Especially with 'tourist season' on the way.
The utter mindlessness of tourists visiting the Big Apple, kills brain cells just being around them!
There are also recordings of Robert Frost reading his poetry which might pique your interest.
Not sure if you like podcasts (I don't usually listen to them, but my friend does so I hear them in the car), but The Stuff You Missed In History Class is interesting, as is Historical Figures. I have only listen to partial bits of them, and found them interesting enough to not ask her to turn them off.
Also, the whole world is somewhat open if you go to the Library of Congress collection of audio recordings. I have used some of these in presentations....browse and see what you may find.https://www.loc.gov/audio/collections/

The (minor) stumbling-block for me is, there's always so many items to sift through in these giant libraries. I want to make a bee-line for something which I know I will like; rather than spend hours browsing.
It does have some collections which might be easier to search, I also find it is a rabbit hole of discovery for me and I find myself just in a learning cycle of OH MY I LOVE THIS THING I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT!

I know Burton, I know the movie version which he himself acted in, I've read the play, and I've read plenty of other stuff by Thomas too. So it was a win-win in every possible area.
Examples: Lincoln, Pericles, Browning, Coleridge, Poe, Robert Frost, Dylan Thomas. Variously read by talents such as Johnny Cash or Richard Burton.
Wondering if some of you lot may know of ones I do not. I'm seeking ideas and suggestions. Can you name any? Anything at all, to send me off in a new direction.
