Books with similar storylines or retellings of Greek mythology, like the story of Hades and Persephone, Odysseus, or really anything else like that. YA and Adult are perfect, thank you!!

Basically looking for stuff similar to not only Percy Jackson, but also more YA and adult. Lore and Song of Achilles are already on my TBR, just looking for more books that include mythical tones, especially Greek.

The Land Beyond the North. The story of Jason and the Argonauts adapted and expanded somewhat to bring in Stonehenge at the end.The Kingdom of the Bulls. Brings in the story of King Minos and the Minotaur.
If you're interested in Roman mythology at all, there's Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A. Nielsen. It has a similar feel to Percy Jackson.
Just to scratch the surface:Women of Troy, by Pat Barker; starting with The Silence of the Girls.
The Firebrand, by Marion Zimmer Bradley retells the story of Cassandra.
Clytemnestra, by Costanza Casati.
Heracles trilogy, by Glyn Iliffe; starting with Son of Zeus.
The Gods in Winter, by Patricia Miles. What if Demeter stayed with a modern day family while Persephone is in the Underworld?
Songs of Penelope, by Claire North; comprising Ithaca, House of Odysseus, and, The Last Song of Penelope.
The Bull from the Sea and The King Must Die, by Mary Renault retell the story of Theseus.
Taking inspiration from greek mythology but not actually retelling, The Queen's thief, by Megan Whalen Turner, starting with The Thief.
Shawna, thank you!! I have Circe on my TBR.I am very much interested in Roman mythology, thank you, Pony!! I'm interested in pretty much all mythology, just Greek in particular.
Robert, thank you so much for all the book recs!! I'm so excited to dive into these!!
currently reading this one, it's like a modern-day retelling of Hades and Persephone: A Touch of Darkness
I've just come across this list. It might be worth checking it outhttps://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
Ariadne by Jennifer Saint, Circe by Madeline Miller and Persephone by Allison Shaw. The latter is a graphic novel but it's one that I truly enjoyed and turns quite a bit of the original story on its head. Persephone is a virginal goddess with lustiness and the eagerness for love in her heart. Hermes is a gullible idiot. Zeus is a kindly father who approves of Hades's potential coupling with his daughter/niece. Hades is a ruggedly handsome bloke who is determined to keep Persephone at arm's length because he respects her too much to subject her to the darkness of his realm.
Perhaps some of the novels by Molly Cochran and Warren Murphylike the Forever King trilogy. The Forever King
According to one quote by Robert Jordan
"a fresh and exciting view of the Arthur legend.”
She also co-wrote World Without End which is a modern retelling of the Atlantis myth.
Brad, omg!! I read the Forever King books with my mom when I was little!! Haven't read them since, but definitely need to again! Thank you!!
@Averi. YW. Some of my happiest memoroes as a child was reading with my mom as well. I am just glad I could help remind you a of such a fond memory.
I haven't read it, but my Greek Epic professor from a while back would not stop raving about it 😂The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood
From what I remember, it's a novella that reimagines the Iliad/Odyssey from Penelope's perspective and highlights her life back on Ithaca in Odysseus's absence and her resilience and intelligence she uses to face her struggles :)
