Can this book be read without ever reading the hunger games series?
Probably, but certain aspects of the book will have more of an impact if you read the other books first
I loved this book! I haven't read the series at all, never saw the movies, and just had the foggiest idea of what the series was really about. I followed along what was going on, just fine, Im sure there is deeper meaning to all of it, but as the first book I read in the series, its top notch
