I believe that people cannot change their gender. I believe they can do things that the opposite gender does but not change their gender. I believe everyone has a gender they were born with and they cannot change it.

so I'm not trans so like if I'm wrong you can punch me or tell me to shut up but what I've heard from trans people is this: they haven't CHANGED their gender. They have just found out what their real gender is. it doesn't align with their sex, but their gender has always been that. It never CHANGED, they just realized what it was. :)

No I don't believe people should be able to change there gender I think that if you were born a woman you should stay a woman and if you were born a man you should stay a man

@Em YESSS I AGREE WITH YOU! Trans people's gender doesn't align with their sex

You can change your gender identity, but you cannot change your biological sex. That matters. No matter how someone identifies, the brain and body develop based on the sex you were born with. A biological male cannot make eggs, cannot carry a baby, and cannot breastfeed. Even with a uterus transplant, the male body lacks the necessary hormonal, genetic, and structural environment—because it’s built on XY chromosomes, not XX. Gender expression is flexible, but biological sex is not. Respecting identity shouldn’t mean denying facts.

No, you cannot change your gender. You are BORN with your gender, like biologically. Yet, transgender people still exist. All being transgender is is that your mind doesn't line up with your sex (So transgender men's minds are that of a man scientifically, even if they have the body of a woman.)

Gender is a social construct, everyone says. But so is like...literally anything else. The state is a social construct.

Social construct is something everyone can agree but clearly nobody can agree on what this mysterious thing called a gender is

i guess my question is, say like 100 years ago, everyone knew what a woman was, it wasnt a hard question and was simply answered with a few biological facts. fast forward a 100 years or so and we cant answer a simple biological question like what a woman is. i guess i do not see the improvement. it seems like its only caused a whole lot of confusion

So gender is just an abstract, hence anyone can be anything

I'd say, while you can't change your gender, gender CAN change.

I believe you could act like another gender and your gender itself could change how it acts but boys and girls are different no matter what

You can't see the improvement 'cus there is none. Respectfully. That "hard question" still has the same answer, people are just too blind and corrupt and stubborn to accept it because it isn't the reality they want.

Well, isn't that just personality?? I am very tomboyish and don't like dresses or makeup but I am very much female. Sorry if I am not understanding your words, but what I got out of this is that, "you can be something if you decide you can." I can decide I'm a duck and call myself a duck but I'm still human, and anybody who looks at me can see that.

@Charis, being tomboyish is not comparable. Yes some people have masculine personalities but it is very different from feeling as if you ARE the opposite gender. So being trans (this is ftm) is not disliking makeup, it’s feeling like breasts aren’t part of your body. It’s feeling like she/her doesn’t describe you.
