Welp, that didn't take long. I'd forgotten what a quick read this book was. It's possible I actually enjoyed it more on this second read. So am upping my rating by half a star 😁
It's still very, very reminiscent of Battlestar Galactica, which I kinda need to rewatch now... it's been a few years.
Got to say, as far as crazy murdering AIs go, AIDEN is more fun than most. 😆
Fun fun murdering? I agree. I have dived in and it will likely be done today.
I just love how this book starts with the interviews of the two teenagers, with all the teenage angst and snark on full display.
So, were you a fan of the original Battlestar, or just the brilliant remake?
I never used to miss an episode of the original as a kid, but I have to admit I haven't dared try to re-watch. I made that mistake already with Buck Rogers... 😆the remake however is pretty darned awesome... for the most part.
I'm with you on that one. For me, the original Star Trek still totally works, but the other sci-fi series of my youth? Not so much.
I have however met both Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch. Mr. Benedict did not want to discuss BSG with anyone 😂
He was great. And I really liked him on the remake too.I met DB at the same time as Dwight Schultz (somewhere in the world - most likely Scotland right now - there is a picture of Murdoch, Face and myself beside the A-Team van...) I absolutely love that man! He was really nice, and I was very happy to find him super funny too.
DB showed up wearing more make-up than a middle-aged prostitute. Might be why he didn't smile all day... it was caked on there too thick 😂
Done. I kinda forgot the twist at the end, so it was fun being reminded of it again. Now I want to launch into the next book, but I have other ones planned.I'm kind of shocked that this story hasn't been snapped up for a Netflix series. I know it isn' the most original, but AI? Teenage protagonists? Space travel? Pretty explosions? That is all catnip for a tv series.
true. maybe they have been intimidated by the format. Easy enough to convert, but people lack imagination sometimes 😆
I started this book today, and so far it seems like a fast read. It is an interesting format.

I really enjoyed this book, and the format didn't bother me at all. I am interested in seeing where the series goes.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but when I do, I like to binge-watch. That sounds like something worth binge-watching. LOL!
