Welcome to June 2025

If you wish to have a buddy choose a book from your SBC bookshelf, please comment below with the amount of books you wish to have picked out for you.

I will pair you with your Buddy using Random.org.

Rules-ish:

You will need to create a bookshelf marked Stitcher’s bookclub TBR or SBC TBR on Goodreads. Put books on it that you can actually have access to read in June.

Awesome. Is anyone else having issues with their notifications? My app isn’t telling me when Someone replies to me posts. Last notification I was was in March. Weirdly though notifications from other groups are getting through. This app is silly sometimes 🤣

Yes!!!! I haven't been receiving GR notifications for months now!! I don't use the app but it's been happening to me too. I just check back here from time to time to check if anyone has posted because I'm not getting notifications.

You can either go to your messages and click it in the most recent one I sent, OR, there should be a "poll" section in the group menu. If you click that, it's the first and only open poll!

Hope the surgery went well Sharon!

It went well as can be expected. I had my first knee replaced in January so I know what to expect. Day four the pain is subsiding slightly. I’m sleeping a lot and using a walker for two weeks

Pleasure Bonnie! I’ve chosen The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I love the sound of the protagonist’s gift so hope it’s a great read!

How’s everyone going with their buddy picks? Mine isn’t in at the library yet but I’m plodding along with my monthly challenge to start The Count of Monte Cristo. Enjoying it so far.

Haven't started mine yet since it's an audiobook - I have a local book club meeting next week, for which I need to finish another audiobook, then on to The Mercies!

I haven’t started mine yet either because I can’t find it anywhere. I must have put it in a safe place but that safe place has disappeared. I’m going to see if the library has it so I can start reading it.

I haven't started mine either, but I have it and I pulled it off of my shelf! So that's a step in the right direction! XD

Just checked and I’m next in line for my buddy pick at the library but won’t be starting it in the month of June. Can we sign up for July soon?

Transformative Leadership aka Level 5 Operations Manager. It’s really intense with written projects each month. This month was Based on DEI. It’s due tomorrow as I’m still not finished. Eeeek

Sounds great and I bet you’ll be relieved when it’s finished!

I finished my book. I was initially excited to read this book. When I started reading the book, my excitement diminished. I did not enjoy this book as much as I did her first book.
