Buddy Picks TBR for June 2025
Awesome. Is anyone else having issues with their notifications? My app isn’t telling me when Someone replies to me posts. Last notification I was was in March. Weirdly though notifications from other groups are getting through. This app is silly sometimes 🤣

I just check back here from time to time to check if anyone has posted because I'm not getting notifications.

Thank you, Bonnie. I am looking forward to reading this book.
Tracey, the book I chose for you is The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods. As a librarian who loves promoting the love of reading, I picked this book for you, Tracey. The title of the book and the cover drew me in from the start. I hope you enjoyed reading this book, Tracey.

I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this and I appreciate the personal touch 😊
Sharon, I’ve chosen The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave for your buddy pick this month. It’s inspired by true events and I gave it 4 stars when I read it in 2020.
Hi Eden.
Hope you are keeping well.
Had a look at your SBC shelf and thought that giving you the opportunity to continue a series may be a kind act on this day 😀 I have chosen for you King’s cage by Victoria Aveyard, 3rd in the Red Queen series.

Hi Janice, can you choose my book soon? I’m hoping g to finish last month’s pick by the end of the week xx
Purple Bookish Frog (Bonnie) wrote: "Hi Eden where is the poll? Can’t seem to find it on my phone app."
You can either go to your messages and click it in the most recent one I sent, OR, there should be a "poll" section in the group menu. If you click that, it's the first and only open poll!

It went well as can be expected. I had my first knee replaced in January so I know what to expect. Day four the pain is subsiding slightly. I’m sleeping a lot and using a walker for two weeks

I’ve chosen The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I love the sound of the protagonist’s gift so hope it’s a great read!
Oooh this was a birthday present from my hubby this year. So excited to open the seal to the box set this month!

How’s everyone going with their buddy picks? Mine isn’t in at the library yet but I’m plodding along with my monthly challenge to start The Count of Monte Cristo. Enjoying it so far.

Haven't started mine yet since it's an audiobook - I have a local book club meeting next week, for which I need to finish another audiobook, then on to The Mercies!

I haven’t started mine yet either because I can’t find it anywhere. I must have put it in a safe place but that safe place has disappeared. I’m going to see if the library has it so I can start reading it.
I haven't started mine either, but I have it and I pulled it off of my shelf! So that's a step in the right direction! XD
Just checked and I’m next in line for my buddy pick at the library but won’t be starting it in the month of June. Can we sign up for July soon?
Yep sorry I’ve been so focused on my apprenticeship project I forgot to post. I’ll do it now xxx
Oh btw I finally found my boxset for the buddy pick this month. I’m going to have to put it back into list of books on the sbc shelf.
Purple Bookish Frog (Bonnie) wrote: "Oh btw I finally found my boxset for the buddy pick this month. I’m going to have to put it back into list of books on the sbc shelf."At least you found it Bonnie! What’s the apprenticeship project you’re working on?
Transformative Leadership aka Level 5 Operations Manager. It’s really intense with written projects each month. This month was Based on DEI. It’s due tomorrow as I’m still not finished. Eeeek

I finished my book. I was initially excited to read this book. When I started reading the book, my excitement diminished. I did not enjoy this book as much as I did her first book.

If you wish to have a buddy choose a book from your SBC bookshelf, please comment below with the amount of books you wish to have picked out for you.
I will pair you with your Buddy using Random.org.
Rules-ish:
You will need to create a bookshelf marked Stitcher’s bookclub TBR or SBC TBR on Goodreads. Put books on it that you can actually have access to read in June.
