I just finish Red Herrings and White Elephants yesterday, and since I have another book with an elephant in the title for prompt #27, I'll start here.
My first book will be Crown of Midnight. I was in the middle of this one when I found this challenge so I thought it would be a good place to start!
My first book is going to be Fabric: The Hidden History of the Material World. I'm going to use the subtitle word "history" to lead onto the next book
My first book is The Husband's Secret. I picked it up at a street library near me. This should be fun.
I just finished A Girl Called Renee: The Incredible True Story of a WW2 Jewish Holocaust Survivor by Ruth Uzrad
I am starting with the book God Forgive Us for Being Women: Rhetoric, Theology, and the Pentecostal Tradition. Mostly starting here because I was reading the book and was not using it anywhere. Added bonus, lots of words in the title.Next connection planned is Future Home of the Living God, sharing the word God.
I began with Long Island Compromise byTaffy Brodesser-Akner. I am now reading Long Island by Colm Tóibín for prompt 2.
Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World I wanted to read a mental health book to start off with. so i started with Anxious for Nothing, Fabulous book about dealing the bible and anxiety.
First book ~ Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll I've got several books with girl in the title (although most are about actual women, not girls, sigh) Next book - Who Wants Normal?: The Disabled Girls’ Guide to Life by Frances Ryan is one I've been looking forward to for ages. She's an excellent writer/journalist.
I started with My Friends by Fredrik Backman. It was the book I had just started when the challenge was published!
Read Broken Promise by Linwood Barclay. I started this book at the end of May so used it for the challenge.
Read "The Time-Turner" (From the films of Harry Potter) als first book for the connections challenge. It's a little book that accompanies a replica of Hermoine's time-turner from The Prisoner of Azkaban movie. It has quotes, pictures, scene overviews, anekdotes and a trivia. Enjoyed it!

I'm still trying to get through my TBR shelf so thankfully the first two book fall into this.

My first book is Trans History: A Graphic Novel: From Ancient Times to the Present Day by Alex L. Combs (6/12/25)
Finally finished my first book (I delayed this challenge a little to focus on the main challenge since this one is open-ended)Fabric: The Hidden History of the Material World
I am new to the group and liked the idea of the connections challenge. I ordered the journal and it arrived today- it is brilliant. I have chosen The Great Gatsby as my first pick.

1) Pick any book: Start this challenge with a book of your choice. This can be any genre, format, or length. Be bold and read outside your comfort zone, or try a favourite genre or re-read. But remember, choose wisely. The book you pick will influence your next choice (and the rest of your challenge!)
Sample Challenge: For this walkthrough, we’ve created a sample challenge as an example of how this challenge can be completed. For this sample challenge, let’s say I choose to start with a cozy mystery, Welcome to Murder Week by Karen Dukess.
