I don't do sensual variations, but I did take a look at the first chapter in the example.I would have to say the layout is a bit off putting.
If the layout I see in the sample is the layout of KU, then I can see it being a problem, technically.
Every sentence is a new line and there are no spaces between the scenes and POV. No bolding. No italics.
The short sentences don't allow for the reader to get into the story.
It has a very modern feel. Which is fine, but it won't appeal to a lot of JAFF readers.
I will add, there are a couple of WIP I've been following with similar writing style. I'm not a fan, but there seems to be a growing number of people writing in this style.
Some will like it, others won't.



One reader felt that the POV shifts weren’t always clear, though I tried to use close third-person and clear transitions.
