Hi Amber! You are smashing your goal, and then some! Amazing! I hope there have been lots of fantastic reads so far this year. I enjoyed The Bear and the Nightingale and Hamnet. And you really can't go wrong with Tolkien J R R. Happy reading!

I expected to enjoy The Bear and the Nightingale, but Hamnet really blew me away.

I ended up listening to more (9) audiobooks than I expected due to time spent gardening and time spent walking a pair of dogs we were looking after.

Yes, Hamnet has stuck with me. Sadly, I didn't really enjoy her following book, The Marriage Portrait that much though.

It was honestly what kept me sane at work.
That's a shame about The Marriage Portrait. I keep thinking about trying Maggie O'Farrell's other work but arn't sure.

Well, maybe it was just me. Because The Marriage Portrait is rated very well. I've got my eye on her memoir, I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death and the title, The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox, intrigues me.

I think I've designated I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death as a readathon book. And as we have a team readathon coming up, if it works for any of the prompts, I think it'll be time to read it.
