it was definitely and interesting read but i feel like it didnt wrap everything up. so i guess mermaids live a really long time and it was Mary or Eliza that ended up being Jess' Mom? their dad cheated with a mermaid but is somehow 'one of the good ones' 🙄
i am also really glad that Max was the Dad after all.
It was just OK for me. 3/5 ⭐️. I didn’t love the ending and lots of things left open and not wrapped up which I didn’t like. I don’t know how many we have committed in the group but to make it somewhat quicker on deciding a book we could just take turns picking a book each month. Then a 3-4 week turn around seems appropriate! But I’m down for whatever. 😁
I gave it a three in good reads as well! Felt like a blah ending. And that’s a great idea! We will just take turns picking a book. Who wants to go first?
Maybe July 7th and we can just get into a schedule of the first Monday of every month we discuss the book we read the month prior?
If there’s no objections by the end of the day we will do that book! Let’s plan on reconvening July 7th to discuss it 🎉
it wasn't my favorite book I've read recently, but it was okay. I feel like there's a lot of left over questions that weren't addressed which bugs me when reading books. It felt like the ending was very rushed and they packed all the action into the last 10 chapters which is something I hate when reading
i also still have my name on the wait list for The God of the Woods at my library, but i dont know where i stand in the queue of 35 people, but it only makes me more interested in reading it once i can get my hands on it 🤣 if we can keep that one in the running for a future read!

ANDDDD…What book should we read next?! Should we pick a book and set like a three week reconvene date? Or a month? Drop your book recommendations!
