What did everyone think of it?! I feel like I have been reading these books that are like 6 books long and dive super deep into the characters…and this book felt a little surface level! I did enjoy it, but didn’t LOVE it. I wish they would have dived into Eliza and Mary more. They basically stick around the area and protect any of the girls from the bad guys? Was glad that Max was the Dad in the end, though 😂 It just felt a little strange that they never told Lucy that Jess was her mom? I just didn’t really understand the reasoning behind that. As a mom, I couldn’t imagine that happening to my daughter and not letting her be the mom.

ANDDDD…What book should we read next?! Should we pick a book and set like a three week reconvene date? Or a month? Drop your book recommendations!

Lindsay | 20 comments it was definitely and interesting read but i feel like it didnt wrap everything up.
so i guess mermaids live a really long time and it was Mary or Eliza that ended up being Jess' Mom? their dad cheated with a mermaid but is somehow 'one of the good ones' 🙄
i am also really glad that Max was the Dad after all.

Mary Yuhas | 29 comments It was just OK for me. 3/5 ⭐️. I didn’t love the ending and lots of things left open and not wrapped up which I didn’t like. I don’t know how many we have committed in the group but to make it somewhat quicker on deciding a book we could just take turns picking a book each month. Then a 3-4 week turn around seems appropriate! But I’m down for whatever. 😁

I gave it a three in good reads as well! Felt like a blah ending. And that’s a great idea! We will just take turns picking a book. Who wants to go first?

I’m in! Should we make the end date July 1st? Or is that too soon?

message 7: by Mary (new)

Mary Yuhas | 29 comments Maybe July 7th and we can just get into a schedule of the first Monday of every month we discuss the book we read the month prior?

If there’s no objections by the end of the day we will do that book! Let’s plan on reconvening July 7th to discuss it 🎉

Shannon | 10 comments it wasn't my favorite book I've read recently, but it was okay. I feel like there's a lot of left over questions that weren't addressed which bugs me when reading books. It felt like the ending was very rushed and they packed all the action into the last 10 chapters which is something I hate when reading

Shannon | 10 comments that sounds good to me regarding the plans to read first lie wins
