Ugh - you mention one book and I end up adding four to my TBR, "buy in July" list! (But seriously, thanks for the "Hidden History..." recommendation.)
Shomeret: echoing Gail, thanks for mentioning The Hidden History of American Oligarchy: Reclaiming Our Democracy from the Ruling Class, the Thom Hartmann hidden history series was not on my radar, but is now. Hope you enjoy your current mystery!

1)Lady Rights a Wrong by Eliza Casey (historical mystery) 325 pages. Source: Public Library's Bookstore Started: 6/1 Finished: 6/12
Why Read: I wanted to start June with a mystery, so I'd have one to discuss in my mystery readers group.
Comments: Although I was engaged by this book through most of my reading process, it seemed to go on too long and I eventually found it tiresome. So I gave it a B- which would be two stars on Goodreads. I will call it okay in my mystery group. That's not considered a recommendation in that group.

2)The Hidden History of American Oligarchy: Reclaiming Our Democracy from the Ruling Class by Thom Hartmann (history, government, politics) 192 pages. Source:
Library Started: 6/17 Finished: 6/22
Why Read: It sounded important and controversial.
Comments: It definitely was important and controversial, but not what I would consider enjoyable. Nevertheless I gave it five stars. I needed to read this book. I gave it an A+ which means five stars on Goodreads.
I'm currently reading a mystery in a favorite series, so I have high expectations for my first read of July.
