Eric Picard | 2 comments Legacy of the Bitterroots: A Crystal Village TaleHello - if this is not okay, I apologize in advance. I didn't see any prohibitions in the group description.

I'm an author, and my brand new novel, "Legacy of the Bitterroots" is a multi-generational saga that spans from 1867 in Northern Idaho and Montana to 2029. It follows a band of 7 civil war veterans who rescue a young girl in Montana. They start a utopian village (intentional community) in the mountains of Idaho near Kellogg, and their adventures until the village is destroyed in the "Great Fire" of 1910.

100+ years later, the great-great-grandson of the founder discovers clues to family history and the village. He begins an adventure that redefines his understanding of his family history, and his life.

This book is a cross-genre novel that is meticulously researched. There was a lot of good fortune here - I picked a location for the village based on my drives through the area. Turns out, during the gold rushes there, Wyatt Earp, Calamity Jane, and lots of others lived in a boomtown that was 15 miles from where I plopped my pin on Google Maps. So they're all in the book. Numerous other historical figures, some obscure, some well known are in the book as well.

There are elements of mythology, fairytales, magic realism, etc...

If this is of interest, I humbly submit it for your review. I apologize if I've misstepped.
