I didn’t realize how much bedtime reading meant to my son until one night he said,
“Can I read to you instead, Mommy?”

He only knew a few words, but he remembered the story and “read” it by memory — turning each page carefully, imitating my voice, and even pausing for the same moments I usually do.

It wasn’t about getting the words right — it was about how deeply he had felt the stories we’d shared.

So yes, this is my most memorable bedtime reading moment.

I’d love to hear yours too 💛

Leslee Torres | 1 comments We have one, special chapter book that we only read at bedtime. It’s a wonderful experience because our older child (11) does the reading to our younger twins (3) and I listen. After each book we finish, I try to find a local field trip and/or the movie to watch together. Currently we are reading Peter Pan.

Thanks for starting this place for moms to gather around children and books. ❤️
