These Summer Storms question

Thought this was about kids competing for their share of inheritance in ways they had as children - quizzes, athletic prowess, knowledge of Dad's company. Instead, it's truth or dare w/cruel revelations that ruin some of their lives. Dad was diabolical. Kids were exactly how he created them even if they didn't know it (e.g., Emily). The overseer of the games was Dad's clone so his control over Emily wasn't romantic; it was creepy. What was the point? Dad was showing off that he was controlling in life AND death?
