The same day. I think about my next read while I'm reading. It also depends on the book I'm reading. Sometimes it's hard to let the story go I guess
As soon as I finish reviewing what I just read. I pick a new one, usually different type, and get going.
Immediately, after I finish one. Often, I am reading one and listening to Audio and start another all at the same time. Have so many books to Read.
Right away. Unless it's some super late crazy hour. But in the past, while suffering with insomnia, I have started books at 1 am. And some series are very relaxing so they help me sleep.
right away. usually read the author's notes, acknowledgements, look at maps and photos then dive in the first chapter
Depends on if Im reading a series or not. If a series I read the next book right away. If not a series it might be a day or so for my next read.
The next day cause I always finish books at night 🤭
Casi siempre cuando termino un libro comienzo el otro, pero cuando el libro es súper meta bueno me cuesta soltarlo y comenzar uno nuevo
Within hours to a day or two, depending on how busy, tired, distracted by other things/interests, or affected by the last book I read, or how excited I am about the next read, especially if I have multiple to choose from at the time
If I know which book I’ll definitely read next (highly anticipated, sequel, etc.) then immediately. If not, I browse my library for a bit, and then typically within a few hours.

But some book inspire to visit and revisit their pages and i also mix the earlier one with current read for better perspective.
Straight away if I'm hella bored unless the book was a 5 star read and I got attatched to the charavters then it'll take me a few days to start a new one
Most of the time right away.Very rarely have I had to wait between books. Only time I wait is when I try to get into another one and I am still too enthralled in my mind with the last one, because that does not leave room for the new book. When that happens it might be 3 to 5 days until I read the next one. But it rarely happens.
As soon as I finish a book - I immediately start another. I read every day after lunch and just before bed. Nothing like a great read. Too many books and just not enough time!
sometimes straight away, usually a couple of hours or if I finish a book at night I'll wait until the next day
I like to wait a week at least, to give me a minute to continue to think and absorb the last book I read before moving forward.
Honestly, it varies! Sometimes I need a bit of a palette cleanser after a particularly intense or long book. I might take a day or two to just let the story settle, maybe scroll through Goodreads for a bit, or even just re-organize my physical TBR pile. It's like letting the previous world fade a little before diving into a new one.But then there are those times when I finish a book and I'm just itching to start something new immediately. If I already have my next read lined up and I'm really excited about it, I might jump straight in that same evening. It really depends on my mood, the book I just finished, and how compelling my next pick looks!
The same day but not immediately after, I think that's why I find it helpful to write some notes or a short review while I'm still wallowing in the finished book and have a sense of the after taste - sometimes disappointment and loss at finishing something gorgeous, sometimes frustration at a terrible ending or an awful story! I get a vibe then for what I need from the next book - am I in the mood for something classic or do I need something lighter. If it was hard work I usually try a page-turner next to mix it up and get my reading flow back up.
Depends on how much emotional damage the previous book made and how much time I need to recover from it :))
If the book wrecked me it'll take a day or two to pick up another one. But if it wasn't that impactful then yeah within the same hour, I'm reading a new book.
Depending on the book. I might be in such shock after finishing a book it will take me days before I can start another one. One in point is The Huntsmen by Tony J Forder. So brilliant, I couldn't start another book immediately.
