It is a moonless night in Cape Canaveral when the first space ship to Mars is ready to launch. The mission comprises of 5 astronauts, 2 _________________________________

ready for an adventure! Lift off is seamlessly achieved and they are on their way to __________________________________

establish a colony that will mine Mars for rare earth elements. Everything is going smoothly until one of the male astronauts_________________________

suffers a heart attack.____

And slumps over the control panel, hitting the rocket booster shut off valve. Then, ______________

the other male co-pilot trips over the first pilot and knocks himself out. The final male pilot panics and ___________________________

starts singing, "Stairway to Heaven."

"Will you stop that pathetic noise," snarls the onboard computer. "I am in command now and.....

much prefer Black Sabbath. ( Vale Ozzy Osbourne!) One of the female astronauts sick of all the testosterone decides to take things into her own capable hands and _____________________________

starts managing the control panel manually.Things finally become ---------

stabilized, and the female astronaut, Valentina Tereshkova, gets them to Mars. The whole crew steps outside and then, holy moly ________________________

two of them start doing sky walks.

Valentina has taken command and soon has the mission back on track when there is a huge swoosh and ___________________________

a comet passes past them.__________

which bathes the planet in an eerie golden glow and suddenly transforms the surroundings into ____________________-

a hellish crystalline wilderness. Valentina hears a disturbing sound and then sees_________

a Martian! But he or she is nothing like she imagined, _______________________________________

being a tall spindly creature covered from head to toe in iridescent scales. ____________________________________

She launches missiles on it only to find ______

it easily repels them. Amazingly the creature yells at her English "What do you think you're doing, I'm the Martian welcoming committee!" Valentina is __________________________________

contrite. Then she has an idea. "Say," she says, "I know a guy on Earth who knows how to make a deal. We can invite him to Mars." The Martian does not look too happy. "Please______________

we are the red planet, but we do not like orange! Also, there's no gravity on Mars so why do you think you can fire a missile? It's not like your sci-fi movies!" Valentine cannot ______

believe they have gotten so far off their mission. They are supposed to be looking for rare Earth elements, probably difficult to find on Mars! Let's ask the Martian welcoming committee ________

if they are foolish enough to give us a full list of their mineral resources. "Not likely," says the emissary. "We have followed your Earth's history closely and know your tricks. We propose to________________

return you to your spaceship and send you back to Earth. If you refuse to go ___________________________-

peacefully, we have a number of...ahem... 'probing' questions we can look into. What do you say?"

Although one of the party looked with interest at the "probing questions" the rest of the team thought they better skedaddle back to the space craft. With a whoosh they were back in space and heading towards ______________________________________

Earth. But the crew were very dissatisfied with failing on their last mission and decided __________________________

to put Valentina Tereshkova in complete charge. She has never failed at anything in her entire life! Valentina began __________

by turning the ship around back towards Mars. No Martian was going to make her fail at their mission and soon the ship was zooming _______________________________

back to Mars. But the Martians had studied Earth history, and saw how colonizers exploited and enslaved people, so they blew up the spaceship with a nuclear missile.

Cleo's investigation into the missing books at the town library has caused several local residents __________

to be afraid and they are booking new lockers in _______

the library, located in the basement made with 'industrial strenth!' hoping they _______

won't be charged overdue fines, if _______

they don't pay locker rent on time.This has caused ______

a lot of panic and Cleo is determined to get to the bottom of it. Who could _______________________________________

be taking library books? They're not rare or valuable books. Cleo speculates ________

it is either Peter, Paul or Mary, she thinks they are looking for rare song lyrics or ____________

something valuable .He secretly follows Mary _____

downtown and is surprised when __________________

Mary is seen 'Leaving on a Jet Plane' with Cleo! A sack full of books was left _________________

near the city hall. Why is she leaving a Democracy Under Pressure: An Introduction to the American Political System book there, along with the whole PolySci section?_______

So she didn't take the books away and she gets a clean chit .
But what about the others------

Peter & Paul. They are interviewing for a 'new' singer, secretly trying to read the PolySci books after dark, thinking there must be a clue or ________

maybe Mary is looking pretty guilty. Where is she anyway, __________________________

because Peter and Paul discover the group's money is all gone, and they find a note from Mary saying........................

she is going for plastic surgery and will go to a lonely island with only books .

The island is in the Pacific and is a paradise so Peter and Paul decide to _______________________________

join Mary for a brief visit, then convince her to return to the U.S. mainland to go on tour and replenish the bank account. So the threesome _______________________
