Year 11 IG: Miss Swarbrick's Class discussion

Smile is a wonderful graphic novel with many relatable situations that just come with growing up! Raina is trying to find her place in the wild world of being a teenager. She is a great role model and maintains an optimistic attitude throughout the novel. It shows how she has a hard time fitting in and goes through some problems such as tooth loss, puberty, and others teasing her. Raina learns to stand up for herself and build relationships with people who love her for who she is really is. I really recommend this book for people having these problems or if you don't have those problems I would still recommend it! It’s really inspiring and shows that we can stand up for ourselves and go through tough times. Again, I highly recommend this book if you’re maybe Smilegoing through tough times.
