This is a gay romance, and also a Hallmark-style story - famous person comes back to their hometown and helps save a local business at Christmas. But much of the plot turns on family drama. Quinn runs a gay bookshop in the book town of Hay-on-Wye (which I've been to, it is wonderful!) The property owner is his stepfather, who wants to evict Quinn and sell the place for big money. Noah is a famous romance writer who comes back home for a book event. His mother still lives nearby. A movie star, she became a recluse after a sex tape was posted by an ex, and she was blamed. So not only do Quinn and Noah have to get together, but they both have to deal with family issues.
